Published date : 27 Nov 2017

Local Constituency MSP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley, Jeane Freeman has today called on people in the area to back Small Business Saturday this weekend (2nd December) and support local businesses.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to “shop-local” and support small businesses in communities across Scotland and the UK.

Commenting, Jeane said:

“Small Business Saturday is a great way to show the importance of small independent retailers and the contribution they make to the local economy.

"Throughout the year many of us enjoy shopping local and our support for local businesses matters. So wherever possible, please try to support your local stores"
