Temporary Solution Won for Drongan Post Office

Jeane Freeman MSP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley has issued the following statement regarding Drongan Post Office;

"For the last few weeks I've been working with Linda Bonar from the Post Office Ltd to get a temporary solution for Drongan post office users, while the work goes on to get a permanent post office in place.

"I know how difficult it has been for many in Drongan to have to go to Coylton to use the post office services they need.

"So I'm really pleased that from tomorrow, Wednesday 5th April, a Post Office Van will visit Drongan at 11.15am for one hour. The van will be at the Mill of Shield Road, besides the shops. I know the van will be there for only an hour, but for now that is the most that can be arranged.

"It's a real improvement to have this temporary solution but I'll keep working with the Post Office so we get the much needed permanent Post Office in Drongan."
